Throughout the year I try to share resources and information with you that I think will be helpful for you. Often times these resources will include links to free eBooks that we make available on a variety of topics. Today, I thought I would post a large collection of eBooks for you here so that you can find them in one place and consume them as you see fit. Hello Eric Thanks for sharing, however when I try any links, I'm getting the following error message: "404. That’s an error. The requested URL /external_content/untrusted_dlcp/download.microsoft.com/en//download/1/2/F/12F1FF78-73E1-4714-9A08-6A76FA3DA769/656949ebook.pdf was not found on this server. That’s all we know." @ Mustafa - There have been hundreds of thousands of successful downloads of the eBooks already since I put up my posts, so I do not believe this is a common experience for people. I do have a couple of thoughts though:
- Have you tried right-clicking on the eBook you want to download and selecting "Save Target As" to save the eBook download directly instead of clicking the link to open the eBook link first?
- It also sounds like you may be behind a firewall that is blocking "un-recognized sites," which is blocking the download from beginning. If this is the case, you may want to try again from another location. I hope that one of these two options helps you get the eBooks you are looking for. Thanks, Eric

Has anyone else run into this: Chrome will not allow me to straight download Programming Windows 8. It first tells me that it might harm my computer, and then when I tell it to go anyway, it tells me "This might hurt. Don't say we didn't warn you." That's really strange to me. First of all, my antivirus didn't pick up anything weird. Second, this is suspicious since Google is starting to make a push for HTML5 apps. What gives, Google?Anonymous

@ William - Thanks for the feedback. Originaly I only had PDF because the first eBooks I included when I started creating it were PDF only. When I started adding others that had additional formats, I just kept it to PDF for consistency. Since I heard the feedback about other formats, I have updated the post with .DOC, .XPS, .EPUB. .MOBI formats where available. Thanks, EricAnonymous

@ James - What difficulty are you having downloading them? Have you tried right-clicking on the format you want to download, then selecting, "Save Target As" and then choosing where you want to download the eBook to in order to download it directly vs. opening it first? If you're still having issues, are you on a business network that may have a firewall up to prevent downloads?
