Introducing Engineering Blog for "Microsoft Office 365 Support and Recovery Assistant"

We announced the availability of ‘Office 365 Support and Recovery Assistant’ a couple of months ago here. You can download it from https://aka.ms/snruser. We are now introducing this blog page from the engineering team where you can find the latest additions and other key updates on this toolset.

We are glad to see several of you used it already to solve Outlook issues and gave us good feedback that it’s helping. We also received a lot of feedback on the new solution requirements. We are reviewing every piece of feedback and making continuous improvements. We recognize that there is more to do here and we are working hard to get those solutions to you as quickly as possible. In general, we will be shipping updates on a weekly basis.

We released the tool with a set of solutions for Outlook profile related issues and now expanded to initial versions of solutions for ‘repeated authentication prompts from outlook’ & ‘intermittent connectivity issues with Outlook’ in the last few weeks.

If you haven’t tried this out yet, please give it a try and use its built-in feedback page to share your rating and comments with us. We are listening!

Thank you,

Office 365 Support and Recovery Assistant Engineering Team

Please would you provide a way of exporting and importing the Outlook profile. This will assist in moving from one machine to another, and be an excellent option for migration of systems.

I've ran this tool a few times and have found it to be useful. However, the dialog within the application suggests that a log or report would be made available but I have yet to see one.

It would be interesting to know what causes the problems this recovery assistant solves.  I have successfully used the recovery assistant to reconnect one user's Outlook to her Exchange Online mailbox.  I would like to use the assistant for others who experience similar problems, but I am hesitant to do so before knowing what's causing the problems first.
