Hi, my name is Chipalo, and I am a program manager on WPF. Unfortunately, Chris is no longer with Microsoft. I wanted to introduce myself because I have taken over his responsibilities and will be maintaining this blog in the future.

  So can you tell us when MS is going to fix WPF text at < 11 point sizes? (The decision to precisely place text so it doesn't necesarily hit pixel boundaries and thus looks very blurry.) Thanks.

  Due to the problems surrounding text rendering (especially at small sizes), there is no one fix. That said, we are working on incremental improvements to our rendering system that will ease our customers’ pain. I’ll also be sure to post on this blog as soon as I can speak about them publically.
