Première exception levée dans une chaîne d'exceptions. Si la propriété InnerException de l'exception actuelle est une référence null (Nothing en Visual Basic), cette propriété retourne l'exception actuelle.

Remarques

Une chaîne d’exceptions se compose d’un ensemble d’exceptions telles que chaque exception de la chaîne a été levée en conséquence directe de l’exception référencée dans sa InnerException propriété. Pour une chaîne donnée, il peut y avoir exactement une exception qui est la cause racine de toutes les autres exceptions de la chaîne. Cette exception est appelée exception de base et sa InnerException propriété contient toujours une référence null.

Pour toutes les exceptions d’une chaîne d’exceptions, la GetBaseException méthode doit retourner le même objet (exception de base).

Utilisez la GetBaseException méthode lorsque vous souhaitez rechercher la cause racine d’une exception, mais n’avez pas besoin d’informations sur les exceptions qui peuvent s’être produites entre l’exception actuelle et la première exception.
