Public Shared ReadOnly Property Uid As XamlDirective

Property Value

A XamlDirective for the Uid directive from XAML.

Remarks

A Uid directive specifies a unique identifier for a XAML markup element. Strictly speaking, such a unique identifier could be applied to several purposes within a XAML-implementing framework. Uid differs from Name in that Name has a specific role in the [MS-XAML] definition for declaring the identifiers that exist in an object graph output from a XAML source, whereas Uid has no specific role. In the existing XAML-implementing frameworks that use .NET Framework XAML Services, Uid is typically used for localization purposes. See [MS-XAML] Section 5.3.6.
