Silverlight 2 Sneak Peek

Scott Guthrie has just blogged about some of the upcoming features we can expect in Silverlight 2 including WPF UI Framework, Rich Controls, Rich Networking Support and Rich Base Class Library. He also mentions that the beta1 release is still only 4.3mb to download and 4-10 seconds to install which is pretty impressive considering it includes a compact version of the .NET framework and of course is still cross browser/cross platform (including Mac support).

imageScott's also written a great tutorial to get you started which culminates in the creation of a Silverlight Digg client.
