Are you interested in bilingual lexicography and learners' dictionaries?

I was recently invited to review a book on bilingual dictionaries for the July 2007 issue of the Kernerman Dictionary News, which was published a few days ago (https://kdictionaries.com/kdn/kdn15/kdn15.html). This issue includes a series of articles and reviews of books on lexicography in Poland and in Asia (specifically in Japan), as well as on learners’ dictionaries. The book I read is entitled Meaning and the Bilingual Dictionary: The Case of English and Polish. It is a detailed and interesting study of bilingual lexicography carried out by Arleta Adamska-Sałaciak, a practicing lexicographer who has been involved in the creation of a number of Polish-English and English-Polish dictionaries. You can check out my review here. If you are interested in verb syntax and grammar codes in learners’ dictionaries, you might also want to read Michael Rundell’s review of Anna Dziemianko’s “User-friendliness of verb syntax in pedagogical dictionaries of English.
