hideFirstEntry()
Sets or returns a value that indicates whether the first entry in the combo box control is hidden.
public:
virtual bool hideFirstEntry();
public virtual bool hideFirstEntry ();
abstract member hideFirstEntry : unit -> bool
override this.hideFirstEntry : unit -> bool
Public Overridable Function hideFirstEntry () As Boolean
Returns
true if the first entry in the combo box control is hidden; otherwise, false.
Remarks
By hiding the first entry in the combo box control, you enable the control to emulate the behavior of an enum database field where the Mandatory property is set to Yes.
The following example shows how to return and set the value that indicates whether the first entry in the combo box control is hidden.
boolean bHideFirstEntry;
// The ctrl variable was previously assigned
// as a form combo box control type.
// Retrieve the hideFirstEntry value.
bHideFirstEntry = ctrl.hideFirstEntry();
// Set the hideFirstEntry value.
bHideFirstEntry = ctrl.hideFirstEntry(true);
