Viene illustrato come utilizzare la funzione della libreria di modelli (STL) standard di vettore:: operator< in Visual C++.

Nell'esempio viene dichiarato un vettore vuoto di ID, un tipo definito dall'utente.Inizializza e aggiunge quattro ID al vettore nell'ordine casuale.Li ordina utilizzando operator< definito per l'ID e viene generato il vettore appena ordinato.Si noti che ordina per il punteggio, non nome.)
