negative source journaling

The process used by Message Queuing to respond when a message could not be delivered. Negative source journaling uses transactional and nontransactional dead-letter queues to store messages that fail.

For information on setting negative source journaling, see PROPID_M_JOURNAL or MSMQMessage.Journal.

nontransactional message

A message that is sent outside of a transaction.

See also nontransactional queue.

nontransactional queue

A queue that contains only nontransactional messages. Message Queuing does not allow transactional messages in nontransactional queues.
