Removing Network Load Balancing

In Windows Server 2008, you can remove installed features from your server by using the Remove Features Wizard.

Use the following procedure to remove Network Load Balancing (NLB).

To remove NLB

  • In the Features Summary area of the Server Manager main window, click Remove Features, and then click Network Load Balancing.

    —or—

  • In the Customize this server area of the Initial Configuration Tasks window, click Remove Features, and then click Network Load Balancing.

    —or—

  • You can remove NLB by typing the following command:

    servermanagercmd.exe -remove nlb
    

Note

The Initial Configuration Tasks window opens by default when a member of the Administrators group logs on to the computer. Server Manager opens when the Initial Configuration Tasks window is closed. You can also open Server Manager by using shortcuts on the Start menu or in Administrative Tools.
