Represents the method that will handle the INotifyPropertyChanged.PropertyChanged event.
Namespace: System.ComponentModel
Assembly: System (in System.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Delegate Sub PropertyChangedEventHandler ( _
sender As Object, _
e As PropertyChangedEventArgs _
)
public delegate void PropertyChangedEventHandler(
Object sender,
PropertyChangedEventArgs e
)
Parameters
- sender
Type: System.Object
The source of the event.
- e
Type: System.ComponentModel.PropertyChangedEventArgs
A PropertyChangedEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
INotifyPropertyChanged.PropertyChanged events are primarily used with data binding to ensure that updates to the source data pass to the bound UI properties. For more information, see Data Binding.
When you create a PropertyChangedEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event-handler method is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event-handler delegates, see Events, Delegates, and CLR Event System Conventions.
