Microsoft Azure is compliant with PCI DSS 3.1

About the PCI matrix

 Introduction

Coalfire conducted an assessment and found Microsoft Azure to be compliant with PCI DSS 3.1 as of March 4, 2016. This responsibility matrix has been created to illustrate and clarify the PCI compliance responsibilities for Microsoft Azure and the customers of Microsoft Azure services. As part of the assessment Coalfire analyzed an array of both customer-facing and internal infrastructure services.
The Azure Compliance team has published the PCI matrix 3.1 compliance matrix online and it can be downloaded from here https://aka.ms/pci31matrix

If you are a customer and have any Payment gateway/ services etc., hosted on the Azure platform, you can utilize the PCI matrix 3.1 as a good reference point.
