BizTalk: The specified file could not be decrypted
We had a case in which the customer was getting the following error in the event log while executing an Orchestration.
SSO AUDIT
Function: GetConfigInfo (ConfigProperties)
Tracking ID: 5a85dc63-97dc-48ec-879a-af4ad926cd0d
Client Computer: [FDQNName] (BTSNTSvc64.exe:2592)
Client User: [HostInstance User]
Application Name: [BTS Application Name]
Error Code: 0x80071771, The specified file could not be decrypted.
They were using BizTalk Server 2013, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
On troubleshooting, we could see that there is no issue with BizTalk and SSO Servers and they were working as expected.
After further analysis, we found that the issue is due to the KB3004375 installed on the BizTalk Server. This issue is fixed in the KB3046049.
We asked the customer to install the KB3046049 on the BizTalk Servers and SSO Servers. It fixed the issue.
Lately, we have seen various other customers also running in the same issue. So, if you run into the same issue please install the above KB.
