Cisco VPN Client not working with Windows 8

Cisco_logo.svgFor those of you running Windows 8 and wish to use the Cisco VPN Client you may find that it doesn't work, it is down to the fact during the install it doesn't name the adapter correctly in the registry. Browse to the following Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesCVirtA

Modify the String Value called: DisplayName so that the value = Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows

It should then look like the following:

Launch the Cisco VPN Client, Connect and you should find it works fine this time around.
