Emailing me with tech support requests

I get a lot of emails asking for help with people's Media Center and I can't answer them all.  Feel free to email me with things you'd like me to write about, but please understand I can't answer all the emails or provide tech support for you.  If you have a problem I encourage you to use the newsgroups where you'll likely get your question answered, possibly even by me.

    A lot of companies prohibit access to NNTP. For some reason MS hasn't realized this yet. You may want to push folks to a real web community instead of asking them to use an unsupported protocol.

    Rod, the link above goes to a website version of the newsgroup. NNTP isn't invovled.

    I was always wondering how you guys could be blogging with the public. You must get a ton of stupid questions (aka tech support).

    NNTP an unsupported protocol? Now that is the first time I've heard that one. I personally use newsgroups everyday for work-related issues and our IT department hasn't even thought of blocking NNTP access. What would the point of that be?
