Any uptake on the RSS connector for CRM?
Is anyone actively using the RSS connector CRM? If so, how are you using it and did you customize it any way? If not, what are the reasons for not using it?
This is really for my information. The CRM team might watch this space and have some desire to use the information, but that's not why I'm asking. My new team is looking at some related technologies and we're / I'm wondering how this one fit.

I'm actually playing with it. Installation was very easy and the managers love it to get a list of new opportunities pushed to their reader. I haven't customized it yet, as there was no requirement so far. If you're thinking about related technologies, here's my personal wish list (which has nothing to do with CRM):
Add the ability to include RSS feeds in Outlook. Could be a simple COM add-in running on Outlook 2000 or above.
Add the ability to read newsgroups in Outlook. I don't really understand why it is available only in Outlook Express.
The usage of RSS feeds (including the CRM connector) will grow significantally if it was available in Outlook. - Anonymous

I'm using it in presentations about MS CRM (In Scandinavia). Since mostly the addience is business people they havent really got to know RSS yet. I think its great and forsure in the future there will be more business needs for RSS. Business managers really like the toughts not to dive into details and from RSS point of view only monitor MS CRM records combined with other critical information from other external sources get the whole point of key business. LOB applications are the future and with new office it will be more "one GUI" combined with all sorts of sources with information.
Havent had any request for implemetations yet due...
