1st in a Series of Webinars for ISVs – Microsoft Search Solutions
I am excited to bring you an upcoming series of webinars, approximately monthly, aimed at providing valuable information for your business. The first one is presented by Ron Sielinski, Senior Product Manager, and Richard Riley, Senior Technical Product Manager. Both work for the Enterprise Search & SharePoint Marketing team. This webinar highlights Microsoft’s recently announced Microsoft® Search Server 2008, a new addition to its enterprise search lineup. Both Search Server 2008 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 will support a new federation capability that makes it easier than ever for partners to integrate their offerings with Microsoft’s search solutions.
Federated Search Connectors allow a Microsoft enterprise search solution to pass search queries to a target system and accept and display the results that are returned from the target system. The configuration data for a Federated Search Connector can be packaged and reused as a Federated Location Definition (.FLD) file.
Watch this session to better understand the capabilities of a Federated Search Connector and how to create one for your products and/or customers. You may view the streaming file here.
