Get your company ready for Windows 8

Windows 8 Start ScreenAs Steven Sinofsky, president of the Windows and Windows Live Division, stated : “We reimagined Windows. From the chipset to the user experience, Windows 8 brings a new range of capabilities without compromise”.

Last September at the BUILD conference, Microsoft announced the Windows 8 Developer Preview,  where we focused on presenting the new APIs and amazing new tools for developers.

On February 29th, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we unveiled the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which is focused on a broader audience, and along with improvements to the WinRT APIs, we are introducing the full user experience, the Windows Store for apps, and early previews of some first- and third-party apps.

Windows 8 brings great opportunities for your ISV business: grow your business by selling directly to millions of users, tap into new user scenarios by supporting new devices and form factors, and amaze your users with a fast and fluid and seamlessly connected user experience across their devices.  Of course there is a lot more to see and learn, and you’ll probably have a lot of questions.

Windows 8 for ISVs

To kick off this Windows 8 wave of innovation, the ISV Team is organizing the Windows 8 for ISVs event on March 23. During this event for business and technical decision makers, you’ll learn about Windows 8, how it will help your business and how to get your applications and your business prepared.  But of course you also want to make sure your developers are ready for the next version of Windows!  For them the Developer and Platform team is organizing in parallel the Windows 8 Developer Day, a day and night (!) packed with technical sessions to learn how to build great apps for Windows 8.
