Bing Maps Web Control SDK retirement
Bing Maps Web Control SDK is deprecated and will be retired. Free (Basic) account customers can continue to use Bing Maps Web Control SDK until June 30th, 2025. Enterprise account customers can continue to use Bing Maps Web Control SDK until June 30th, 2028. To avoid service disruptions, all implementations using Bing Maps Web Control SDK will need to be updated to use Azure Maps Web SDK by the retirement date that applies to your Bing Maps for Enterprise account type. Azure Maps is Microsoft's next-generation maps and geospatial services for developers. Azure Maps has many of the same features as Bing Maps for Enterprise, and more. An enumeration which is used to defined what pixel coordinates are relative to.
Name | Description |
---|---|
control | The pixel is defined relative to the map control’s root element, where the top left corner of the map control is (0, 0). Using this option might cause a page reflow which may negatively impact performance. |
page | The pixel is defined relative to the page, where the top left corner of the HTML page is (0, 0). This option is best used when working with mouse or touch events. Using this option might cause a page reflow which may negatively impact performance. |
viewport | The pixel is defined in viewport coordinates, relative to the center of the map, where the center of the map is (0, 0). This option is best used for positioning geo-aligned entities added to the user layer. |
