Description
The Get-DhcpServerv4MulticastScope cmdlet gets one or more multicast scope objects. If you do not specify the Name parameter, the cmdlet gets all multicast scopes on the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server.
Examples
Example 1: Get multicast scopes by using a name
PS C:\> Get-DhcpServerv4MulticastScope -Name "Multicast_AudioConference", "Multicast_VideoConference" -ComputerName "DhcpServer01.Contoso.com"
This command gets the multicast scopes named Multicast_AudioConference and Multicast_VideoConference on the DHCP server named DhcpServer01.Contoso.com.
Example 2: Get all multicast scopes
PS C:\> Get-DhcpServerv4MulticastScope -ComputerName "DhcpServer01.Contoso.com"
This command gets all of the multicast scopes on the DHCP server named DhcpServer01.Contoso.com.
Parameters
-AsJob
Runs the cmdlet as a background job.
Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt.
You can continue to work in the session while the job completes.
To manage the job, use the *-Job
cmdlets.
To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet.
For more information about Windows PowerShell® background jobs, see about_Jobs.
