  The error message that explains the reason for the exception.

  The name of the entity.

• entityType
  Type: System..::.String
  The type of entity.

• inner
  Type: System..::.Exception
  The exception that is the cause of the current exception, or a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if no inner exception is specified.

Remarks

If the inner parameter is not a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference, the current exception is raised in a catch block that handles the inner exception.

All catalog exceptions, including the RuleAlreadyExistsException are derived from the CatalogException class. (The EntityAlreadyExistsException ultimately is derived from the CatalogException class.) The RuleAlreadyExistsException is thrown because you are attempting to perform an invalid operation. You are attempting to add or create a pricing rule or a virtual catalog rule that already exists.
