Consolidated Trial Balance (4) Report

Shows a trial balance for a consolidated company. The report can be used only for consolidated companies that have four or fewer business units to be consolidated. If there are more than four business units, you can use the Consolidated Trial Balance report. Before a business unit can be included in the report, it must be set up in the Business Unit table and have the Consolidate field selected.

Each account appears on a line by itself, following the structure of the chart of accounts. An account is not shown if all the amounts on the line are 0. The following information is shown for each accounts:

  • Account No.

  • Account Name.

  • The total for each business unit in a separate column. The total can be displayed as either a net change or the balance to date.

  • The total for the consolidated company, shown as either a net change or the balance to date.

  • The eliminations made in the consolidated company. They are always shown for a period that corresponds to the consolidated company's fiscal year.

  • The total for the consolidated company after the eliminations, shown either as a net change or the balance to date.
