FA Error Entry No. Field, FA Journal Line Table

Specifies the number of a posted FA ledger entry to mark as an error entry.

When you post the journal, the FA ledger entry and the new entry that is created from the journal line will both have the FA No. from the journal line inserted in the Canceled from FA No. field in the FA ledger entry table. Thus, they will appear as error ledger entries in the FA Error Ledger Entries window you can see from any depreciation book.

To have both entries marked as error entries, the FA posting date and the FA posting type on the journal line as well as the FA ledger entry must be identical and the amount on the journal line must be the same as that on the FA ledger entry but have the opposite sign.
