Total No. of Units Field, Depreciation Table Header Table
Specifies the total number of units that the asset is expected to produce in its lifetime.
This field is used if you want to depreciate the asset according to number of units produced. You can use this method to depreciate production machines with a known lifetime capacity. To use this method, you must also enter the number of units produced in each period in the No. of Units in Period field on the depreciation table line. The program will determine what percentage of the asset's capacity has been used. The percentage will then be entered in the Period Depreciation % field.
To ensure the accuracy of this method, you may want to wait until the end of each period to enter the number of units used.
