Queue Time Field, Work Center Table
Specifies the queue time of the work center.
The queue time always refers to the time unit of measure that you entered in the Queue Time Unit of Meas. Code field.
The queue time indicates the expected time that a part must wait at a work center before it is actually processed.
For example, if a part is delivered to a work center at 10:00, but processing does not start until 12.00, then there is a two-hour queue time.
The value of the Queue Time field on the specific Machine or Work Center card plus the sum of the values in the Setup Time, Run Time, Wait Time and Move Time fields on the item routing line combine to give the production lead time of the item.
