Quantity (Base) Field, Assembly Line Table

Specifies how many assembly components are expected to be consumed. The components are stated in the base unit of measure.

The quantity is calculated as the value in the Quantity (Base) field on the assembly order header multiplied by the value in the Quantity per field on the assembly order line.

Note

The value in this field is copied to the Quantity to Consume (Base) field to reflect the expected consumption. You can change the value in the Quantity to Consume (Base) field to a lesser quantity to post as actually consumed or to reflect a partial posting, but you cannot increase the value.
