| ArgumentException | The provided type name does not conform to a valid type name. Valid type names are defined as names consisting of letters, numbers, an underscore and one or more “.” or “+” characters. |
Remarks
The type name should be the fully qualified name that is reported as the type name through reflection. The simple type name will be fabricated by parsing the full type name. The default value of this property is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
