Assets panel
The Assets panel lists all the controls, styles, media, behaviors, and effects that you can draw on the artboard. The most commonly used controls appear in the Tools panel, but the Assets panel lists all controls that are available to your Blend for Visual Studio 2012 project.
You can open the Assets panel by clicking Assets at the bottom of the Tools panel, or by clicking Assets on the Window menu.

Search box Type in the Search box to filter the list of assets. |
All Select to show all available controls. |

Grid mode and List mode Switch between the Grid mode view and the List mode view of assets. |
Simple Styles Select to show only the styles that are contained in the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Simple Styles resource dictionary. |

Assets categories Click a category or subcategory to view the list of assets in that category. |
Description View a description of the selected assets category or subcategory. |
To add a control, style, or media object to the artboard, do one of the following:
With a category or subcategory selected, click one of the items in the list, and then use your pointer to draw the object on the artboard.
With a category or subcategory selected, double-click one of the items in the list to insert a new object into the active layout panel.
With a category or subcategory selected, drag one of the items from the list onto the artboard.
To add a behavior or an effect to an object on the artboard, you can drag the behavior or effect onto the object on the artboard or in the Objects and Timeline panel.
