Use the New Resource Wizard to create the resource.
If necessary, make the Volume Shadow Copy Service Task resource dependent on other resources in the resource group.
Caution
If the name you provide for your Volume Shadow Copy Service Task resource is the same as an existing scheduled task, that scheduled task will be deleted when the Volume Shadow Copy Service Task resource is brought online.
Important
If you want to create a Volume Shadow Copy Service Task resource to manage shadow copies on a cluster node, use this procedure instead: Enable Shadow Copies for Shared Folders in a cluster. Using Cluster Administrator or cluster.exe to completely configure and manage shadow copies in a cluster is not a supported scenario.
The scheduled task managed by the Volume Shadow Copy Service Task resource runs under the Local System account with a default working directory of systemroot\system32.
