Renew a certificate with the same key

To renew a certificate with the same key
Open the Certificates console for the user, computer, or service you want to manage.
Tip

In the console tree, select the correct store that has the certificate you want to request. For example, under Certificates – Current User, expand Personal, click Certificates.

In the details pane, click the certificate you are renewing.
On the Action menu, point to All Tasks, and then click Renew Certificate with Same Key to start the Certificate Renewal Wizard.
In the Certificate Renewal Wizard, do one of the following:
Use the default values to renew the certificate.
Provide your own certificate renewal settings. You need to know the certification authority issuing the certificate.
After the Certificate Renewal Wizard has successfully finished, click OK.
