Use this procedure to view the dependent client list for a server.
You can use this procedure to view the dependent client list for a server.
Membership in <Domain>\Domain Users, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure.
To view the dependent client list for a server
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.
On the View menu, click Users, Groups, and Computers as containers, and then click Advanced Features.
In the console tree, right-click msmq.
Where?
- Active Directory Users and Computers/YourDomain/YourOrganizationalUnit (such as Computers or Domain Controllers)/YourComputer/msmq
Click Properties.
Click the Dependent Clients tab, and then click Refresh to ensure that the list is current.
Additional considerations
You can only view those dependent clients that are currently active (such as currently sending messages), which may not be the total number of dependent clients in your organization.
By default, following installation, Message Queuing servers are not enabled to support dependent clients.
