Managing a DNS Server

After a Domain Name System (DNS) server has been installed and configured, it is sometimes necessary to perform additional tasks to manage and maintain the server. These tasks include the following:
Changing the IP address of the DNS server, for example, when the server is moved to a new network segment
Modifying default server settings to improve performance or enhance security
Managing root hints to ensure that the DNS can learn and discover authoritative servers that manage domains that are located at a higher level or in other subtrees of the DNS domain namespace
Managing how the DNS server integrates with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) to store and replicate DNS data
