Use this tab to configure the way in which Routing Information Protocol (RIP) communicates with the other routers on its subnets.

Use broadcast or multicast only |
Specifies that all RIP announcements are sent by using the outgoing packet protocol specified on the General tab. |
Use neighbors in addition to broadcast or multicast |
Specifies that RIP announcements are unicasted to specified neighboring routers by using the outgoing packet protocol specified on the General tab . Configure addresses of neighboring routers in the IP address list. |
Use neighbors instead of broadcast or multicast |
Specifies that RIP announcements are only unicasted to the specified neighboring routers. RIP announcements are not sent according to the outgoing packet protocol specified on the General tab. Configure addresses of neighboring routers in the IP address list. If you have non-broadcast networks such as Frame Relay and want to enable RIP between routers, you should select this option. |

Specifies the IP address of the neighboring RIP router. |
List |
Lists the configured RIP neighbor IP addresses. |
