Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.

XAML Values
- zeroOrMoreAssemblyParts
Zero or more AssemblyPart object elements. Each such object element is expected to contain inner text that specifies a source assembly (.dll) using the Source attribute. A name can optionally be provided using the x:Name attribute. For details, see AssemblyPart. This is documented as "zero or more" because often by default the build tools or tasks will generate an empty "Deployment.Parts" property element in the manifest, which is valid.
The AssemblyPartCollection type exposes the following members.
Constructors
Name | Description | |
---|---|---|
AssemblyPartCollection | Initializes a new instance of the AssemblyPartCollection class. |

Remarks
The XAML syntax for properties that use AssemblyPartCollection is an example of implicit collection syntax, in which you omit an actual AssemblyPartCollection object element. Instead, you generally include one or more AssemblyPart elements as child elements of a Deployment.AssemblyParts property element tag.
An assembly part is an assembly that is included in the application package (.xap).
The markup for application manifests is technically XAML. However, the various elements for manifests are not included in the typical default Silverlight XML namespace (https://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation). Instead, the manifest elements are mapped to the https://schemas.microsoft.com/client/2007/deployment XML namespace. Generally, you do not have to change the XAML in an application manifest if the project specifies that each build should generate the application manifest.
Examples
The following is an example XAML usage of Deployment and several AssemblyPart values.
<Deployment
xmlns="https://schemas.microsoft.com/client/2007/deployment"
xmlns:x="https://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
EntryPointAssembly="SilverlightApplication"
EntryPointType="SilverlightApplication.App"
NeutralResourcesLanguage="en-US">
<Deployment.Parts>
<AssemblyPart
x:Name="SilverlightApplication"
Source="SilverlightApplication.dll" />
<AssemblyPart
Source="SilverlightLibrary.dll" />
</Deployment.Parts>
</Deployment>
