Hi Minor, Did you read the information on the linked pages?  I don't create these programs and I also don't typically get familiar with all the specifics.  I merely post what our marketing folks make available. Gerry

Hi Gerry, Yes, I registered and got the voucher number. It is a little bit confusing because it seems that there have been several Second Shot offers. I remember one time there was a discount on the next exam. I just would like to confirm in case your marketing folks forgot to put the information there. :-) Also, if you get a chance please tell your marketing folks this. After registering, there is a note saying you need to use the voucher number by June 30 2009. But the email sent from Vouchers-no-reply@prometric.com doesn't mention the expiration date. Wouldn't it be nice to put the information together in the email? I had to copy the text and save it into a separate text file myself. Thanks.

I just have a quick comment on the process in general.  While I comepletely agree with the need to update and upgrade certifications as technology evolves, and even change the name in order to better segment new technology areas, Microsoft did everyone a disservice by doing such a poor "marketing" job when establishing their naming convention for their new round of certs.  I'll explain why quickly - first, even though no one (for the most part) uses newspaper adds any more, there are word size limits for job postings, next, not to insult anyone in the HR business, but... they have a hard time enough telling an ASP.net developer from a SQL DBA, or C# from C++.  Throwing out this many certs that are so similarly named is going to cause them, and those of us looking for a new job and having to explain what it means to an HR person and convince them that it is equal to and better than their requirements, constant headaches.  Seriously, did anyone stop to think why there are certs and how they will be discussed and used in the outside world?  Just my two cents.  Again, no offense to HR professionals, its just that their expertise is not usually in trying to decipher the industry specific jargon, which will be bad for us in this situation.
