Multiple Wireless WAN (WWAN) Devices Were Detected on Your Computer

Got this message on my Dell box with an internal dial up card, when trying to use my new USB760.  Nothing the error message suggested (disable in device manager, use on-board device power switch) worked.  Answer: Disable the device in BIOS.

Worked for me!

I tried that on my Dell and it still finds the built in cellular modem!  Arrrgh!

Disabled in BIOS... and still discovers it?  Odd.

Yea, disabled in bios - still finds it.  Using the physical switch to turn it off - still finds it.  Device manager, delete driver and disable device - still finds it.  My next step is to dismantle the laptop and remove the cellular modem!

Update:  while I was on wi-fi, I plugged in the modem and the Novatel driver program came up and told me there was a firmware update and proceeded to update it.  After a successful update I can now connect.  New firmware version: Q6085DRAGONFLY_V167 [OCT 02 2010 23:03:22]Hope this helps.

I have this firmware version and am still having the same problem. None of these suggestions work.
