An Ode for Programmers (apologies to Monty Python)

From a long lost t-shirt. Think Monty Python & the Holy Grail:

We're programmers of the Round Table.

We code when e're we're able.

We write specs and subroutines

With crashes rebootable.

We dine well in our cubes a lot.

Eat pizza with ham and jam and spam a lot.

We're programmers of the Round Table.

Our objects are formidable,

But many times we're given deadlines

That are quite unthinkable.

Were coding mad in Camelot.

We program in the dark a lot.

It was 1996, Washington DC, some day near Halloween. My first time in the US. That's why I remember. That and the fact my car was stolen that night. kkkk

Victor: I remember speaking at VCDC around Halloween time, but it was in Palm Springs. I've never been to DC. Maybe they used the shirts two years in a row?

Andy, I checked the material I could find and I confirmed it was in DC. So I guess you're right: they probably used the t-shirts two years in a row... What was your lecture about?

"Power Debugging" was the usual talk I gave at these.
