Telephony (Tapi) Country List workaround for Windows 7 64 Bit OS
Hi,
Dorian again here with another post regarding how to simply add the Country List in the 32 Bit Registry Hive on Windows 7 64 Bit Operation System. The list will be used by 32 Bit Applications that are installed on a 64 Bit OS. This should work on Windows 8 64 Bit OS as well.
If we open Control Panel -> Phone and Modem -> And define a New dialing Rule the following is happening:
- for 64bit Application: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony the Country List will appear as in the screenshot below.
- for 32bit Application: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony the Country List not created in the registry.
As a simple workaround you can safely copy the Country List also into the Wow6432Node area.
