[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Format 11 SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by Source Reader and Sink Writer. Source Reader and Sink Writer have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The IWMWriterAdvanced2 interface provides the ability to set and retrieve named settings for an input.
IWMWriterAdvanced2 exists for every instance of the writer object. To obtain a pointer to this interface, call QueryInterface on the writer object.
