IIS Manager Help
Applies To: Windows Server 2008 R2
IIS 7 provides a UI, IIS Manager, which lets you:
Manage IIS and ASP.NET in one tool.
View health and diagnostic information that includes the ability to view currently running requests in real time.
Configure user and role authorization for Web sites and Web applications.
Connect to a Web server, site, or application remotely using HTTP.
Additionally, you can extend the UI to include your own custom functionality.
F1 Help
IIS Manager provides descriptions of all user interface (UI) elements on each feature page, dialog box, and wizard page within IIS Manager. To display this help, press the F1 key on the active feature page, dialog box, or wizard page.
Menu and Task Bar Help
For consistency with other Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-ins, IIS Manager Help is available from both the snap-in menu and task bar.
Menu Help
The menu bar displays a Help menu. From this menu, you can view Help about the UI, in addition to all the Help content available on your computer. If you have an Internet connection, you can browse the Windows Server 2008 Technical Library on Microsoft TechNet to see all available IIS 7 Help content for IT Administrators.
Task Bar Help
The task bar displays a Help icon that you can click to view Help about the IIS 7 user interface. The task bar appears at the top of every UI page.
Actions Pane Help
The Actions pane displays a Help icon that you can click to view Help about the IIS 7 user interface. The Actions pane appears on every UI page.
