You can deploy Exchange 2010 in an existing Exchange Server 2003 organization that's operating in native mode. Coexistence between these two versions is supported. Moving to the cloud?
Exchange 2010 SP2 offers organizations the ability to extend the feature-rich experience and administrative control they have with their existing on-premises Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, or Exchange 2010 organization to the cloud via a hybrid deployment. Hybrid deployments provide the seamless look and feel of a single Exchange organization between an on-premises organization and a cloud-based organization.
