How to Reset a Device

To reset any of the newly supported IP phones−that is, the Aastra 6721ip common area phone, Aastra 6725ip desk phone, HP 4110 IP Phone (common area phone), HP 4120 IP Phone (desk phone), Polycom CX500 IP common area phone, Polycom CX600 IP desk phone, or Polycom CX3000 IP conference phone−do the following:
Remove the power cord from the device, and wait 10 seconds.
Press one of the following reset key combinations, and continue to hold down the keys while the power is reconnected and the device starts up:
For a Hard Reset, press * and #.
For a Factory Reset, press 4 and 6.
When asked to confirm before the device resets, press Yes. The process of deleting the user data (Hard Reset) or deleting the user data and reverting to the previous valid image (Factory Reset) starts.
Note
While this process runs, the manufacturer logo is shown with an operation progress bar.
After the process finishes, the device continues ordinary startup.
Note
This reset can take up to four minutes.
