Security Sample

This sample demonstrates how to modify security permissions through permission classes and permission attributes. For more information, see Security (C# Programming Guide).

To get samples and instructions for installing them

  • Do one or more of the following:

    • On the Help menu, click Samples.

      The Readme displays information about samples.

    • Visit the Visual Studio 2008 Samples Web site. The most recent versions of samples are available there.

    • Locate samples on the computer on which Visual Studio is installed. By default, samples and a Readme file are installed in drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Samples\lcid. For Express editions of Visual Studio, all samples are located online.

To build and run the Security samples within Visual Studio

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the Security1 project and click Set as StartUp Project.

  2. On the Debug menu, click Start Without Debugging.

  3. Repeat the previous steps for Security2 and Security3.

To build and run the Security samples from the Command Line

  1. Use the Change Directory command to change to the Security1 directory.

  2. Type the following:

    csc ImperativeSecurity.cs
    ImperativeSecurity
    
  3. Use the Change Directory command to change to the Security2 directory.

  4. Type the following:

    csc DeclarativeSecurity.cs
    DeclarativeSecurity
    
  5. Use the Change Directory command to change to the Security3 directory.

  6. Type the following:

    csc SuppressSecurity.cs
    SuppressSecurity
