IHTMLInputElement::onselect Property

Sets or retrieves a pointer to the event handler function associated with the onselect event. An onselect event occurs at the beginning of a user-initiated select. This event can be canceled, and it participates in the bubbling model.

Syntax

HRESULT IHTMLInputElement::get_onselect(VARIANT *p);
HRESULT IHTMLInputElement::put_onselect(VARIANT v);

Parameters

  • p
    Pointer to a variable of type VARIANT of type VT_DISPATCH that receives the IDispatch interface of an object with a default method that is invoked when the event occurs.
  • v
    VARIANT of type VT_DISPATCH that specifies the IDispatch interface of an object with a default method that is invoked when the event occurs.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or an error value otherwise.

Remarks

 New for Windows Internet Explorer 9 Internet Explorer 9. This event has been extended to IHTMLDocument7, IHTMLWindow7, and IHTMLElement6.
