When you remove files from your Microsoft Visual C++ project, you may first want to remove them from source-code control.
To remove a file from source-code control
In the FileView pane of the Project Workspace window, select the files that you want to remove from source-code control.
From the Project menu, choose Source Control, and from the drop-down menu, choose Remove From Source-Code Control.
The Remove From Source-Code Control dialog box appears, with checks in the Files list next to the files that you have selected. You may check or uncheck any files in the list.
Click OK.
Note Not all source-code control systems allow individual users to remove files from source-code control. Some systems require source-code control administrators to remove them, and the administrator may need to use the source-code control system’s administrative program.
