Virtual Memory Error in FBA

Resolution

  • Try one or more of the following:

    • Add more RAM to the device. The extra RAM may only be needed during FBA, and can be reduced later.
    • Reduce the number of features in the run-time image by disabling or deleting components from your configuration.
    • In Target Designer, add pagefile support to the configuration by locating the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) component in your configuration and adjusting the pagefile settings.

Example

When you use FBA, you get a Virtual Memory Error.

A virtual memory error in the FBA log file indicates that the run-time image has loaded more services and registered more binary files than are allowed by physical RAM on the target device.
