IWSDUdpAddress::SetTTL (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This method sets the time-to-live (TTL) for all outbound packets using this address.

Syntax

HRESULT SetTTL(
  DWORD dwTTL
);

Parameters

  • dwTTL
    [in] The TTL of outgoing UDP packets. Generally, the TTL represents the maximum number of hops before a packet is discarded. Some implementations interpret the TTL differently.

Return Value

The following table shows the possible error code return values.

Error code Description

S_OK

This method completed successfully.

E_INVALIDARG

dwTTL is greater than 255.
