Command-Line Parameters for use with the AP Control Server (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

The AP control server is the server on which you have installed Internet Authentication Services (IAS). Launch this service, and start the AP control server from the command-line.

Syntax

apcontrol.exe [-s server] [-p port] [–v] [–z] [–k regKey]

Command-line parameters

Command-line parameter Description

-sserver

Specifies the name or the IP address of the server. The default value is localhost,

-pport

Specifies the TCP/IP port through which the AP control server connects to the access points. The default value is 33331.

-v

Specifies that debug output be verbose.

-z

Sends debug output to the console.

-kregKey

Specifies the registry key that contains the initial configuration for the access point. The default value is SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CETest\APCTL.

-?

Provides information about the command-line parameter.

Note

Normally, only the port and the registry key are specified.
