The following table shows MAC bridge support for the operational characteristics that are specifically defined for Ethernet drivers by NDIS.

OID name Description Bridge response
OID_802_3_PERMANENT_ADDRESS Permanent station address The bridge must use a MAC address that is both unique within the home network and also different from the MAC address of any of the bridge's NICs
OID_802_3_CURRENT_ADDRESS Current station address Same as OID_802_3_PERMANENT_ADDRESS
OID_802_3_MULTICAST_LIST Current multicast address list Query: Bridge returns the current multicast list

Set: Bridge driver records requested multicast addresses

OID_802_3_MAXIMUM_LIST_SIZE Maximum size of multicast address list A large value (0x000000FF)
OID_802_3_MAC_OPTIONS NIC flags (encoded) Not supported
